Now, BJP Will Write The New History In Bengal

West Bengal, the name embodies a wealth of flavors, a rich historical background, diverse cultures, traditions, and a strong sense of political activism. Bengali serves as the regional language, and its capital, Kolkata, is famously referred to as the city of Joy. Previously, Bengal Has experienced the full spectrum of political leadership, from CPM's Jyoti Basu to Budhadeb Bhattacharya, transitioning to the Trinamool Congress under Mamata Banerjee.

However, in the past 15 years, numerous horrific cases have been recorded that remain unsolved. BJP winning in Bengal is historic. Currently, Suvendhu Adhikari, who has assumed the role of Chief Minister of West Bengal, has already been active since the day he took his oath. He appears to be highly dedicated and concentrated in executing his responsibilities as CM. 

The initial observation in the state of Bengal indicates that law and order are effectively maintained by police officials who are active in the field both day and night. Post-election violence has also been observed in the state; however, BJP leaders have managed the situation with patience, particularly following the incident where Suvendhu Adhikari's personal assistant was shot after the BJP's victory. Soon after the investigation in the matter,  three suspects have been arrested so far. Two of them was belongs to Bihar and one from Ballia, UP. 

West Bengal Budget 2026-27:  Incorporates the 'Three-Stream' or 'Three-Power'* Strategy 

Focus areas include job creation, faster land acquisition, a single-window clearance system, and attracting investment.

 

 1. Government Employment: 1 lakh new recruitments will be made across various government departments during this financial year. This includes *20,000 police personnel* and *50,000 teachers, professors and education staff. The remaining 30,000 recruitments will be made in various government departments in contractual and data-entry operator positions. Most importantly, there will be no political individuals on the recruitment committee, and **transparent recruitment following the UPSC model* will be ensured.

 * *2. Private Industry and Investment:* Strong emphasis has been placed on the Food Processing and MSME sectors. The *Land Ceiling Act will be reviewed* to attract industrial investment. Industrialists investing more than ₹100 crore will not be required to obtain separate approvals from Panchayats or local bodies. A Single Window System will be introduced to eliminate extortion, syndicates and cut-money practices and create a business-friendly environment. The government has revived the incentive scheme that had been discontinued by the previous administration and has made a *₹5,000 crore provision* for it.

3. Business and Self-Reliance: The state government has taken major responsibility in providing subsidy support to small and medium entrepreneurs through the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, PMEGP and Vishwakarma Yojana."

Indian government has stood firmly beside the farmers. In addition to the procurement price of ₹2,500 per quintal of paddy, an *additional ₹200 per quintal* has been announced. We will gradually raise this amount to ₹3,100 as promised. Alongside the ₹6,000 provided by the Central Government under PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, the *State Government will provide an additional ₹3,000*.

A special package will be provided for potato farmers along with subsidies for cold-storage transportation.

 * The biggest announcement is a ₹2 per unit subsidy on electricity used for agriculture, for which the State Government will spend ₹800 crore. Lakshmir Bhandar and Preventing Drop-outs:* Women receiving ₹3,000 under the scheme have already benefited, with 28 lakh beneficiaries covered so far. From 1 July, funds will be credited to the accounts of an additional 1 crore 5 lakh women. A provision of ₹36,000 crore has been made for this purpose. To prevent female students from dropping out at the college and university level, a one-time grant of ₹50,000 will be provided.

*Matru Vandana and Nutrition Kits:* In addition to the ₹5,000 provided under the PM Matru Vandana Yojana, the State Government will add another ₹16,000, taking the total assistance to *₹21,000 along with 5 nutritious kits*. A 'Pink Card' is being introduced to provide zero-value tickets for women’s safety and free travel on government buses. To strengthen women’s safety, two new battalions (Durga Squad) consisting of women police personnel will be formed, along with subdivision-level police stations.

 * *Recruitment in the Hills:* There has been no recruitment in the EFR (Eastern Frontier Rifles) for a long time. Now, 1,000 new recruitments will be made there, of which 30 percent will be reserved for our sisters."

"Bengal CM have already cleared a substantial portion of the pending arrears of government employees (from 2016 to 2019), and the remaining amount will also be paid subject to the availability of funds. Of the 42% difference in Dearness Allowance (DA) between the Centre and the State, He have already declared 20% DA, which will be credited to employees' accounts during the Durga Puja month of October*. A committee has also been formed for the Seventh Pay Commission, with a target of submitting its report by December so that it can be implemented from January."

 * Allowance for Youth:* From October onwards, graduate youths will receive ₹3,000 per month and non-graduates will receive ₹2,000 per month (for families with a monthly income below ₹1 lakh).

 * *Health and Mid-Day Meal:* The diet allowance for patients in government hospitals has been increased from ₹56 to *₹110. The Mid-Day Meal allocation has been increased from ₹6.50 to *₹10**. Sanitary napkin vending machines will be installed in all high schools and women’s colleges, and 100% LPG-based cooking arrangements will be made for Mid-Day Meals. As a pilot project, the responsibility for preparing Mid-Day Meals in Kolkata is being entrusted to 'ISKCON'.

 *Law & Order and Infrastructure:* To strengthen law and order, 16,000 new constables will be deployed before the Puja season. In addition, unprecedented improvements in connectivity will be achieved through the construction of roads, bridges, railways, airports and seaports. A total allocation of *₹100 crore has been made for the construction of 5 major bridges*, including projects in Haldia-Nandigram, Sagar Island, Birbhum and Durgapur-Bankura. Major projects have also been undertaken to prevent river erosion in Malda and Dakshin Dinajpur.

In conclusion, I would like to say that this government is inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee and the Ramakrishna Mission. This budget is a historic step towards preserving the culture of all communities and promoting tribal welfare through initiatives such as Dharti Aaba, Eklavya Schools and a Tribal University. I seek the cooperation of all citizens so that West Bengal may once again regain its rightful glory."

Is Suvendhu Adhikari following the footsteps of Yogi Adityanath? 

Recently, the Chief Minister of West Bengal issued a firm warning to all that there will be zero tolerance for unrest, hooliganism, and activities that are anti-national or anti-social. Such activism will not permit these behaviors to persist. This type of similar statement has already been heard from the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister. Interestingly, the Bengal CM has also been praised for calmly dealing with the violence situation that erupted in Park Circus, Kolkata. Basically, on Sunday a massive protest took place over restrictions on roadside Namaz, though the demonstrators clashed with police at Kolkata's Park Circus on Sunday, which left at least 10 cops injured.

Decisions set in stone: 

• Confirmed that the Ayushman Bharat scheme implemented across West Bengal from July, extending health coverage to around 1.43 crore families.
• Border Security: In his first cabinet meeting, the state cabinet approved the transfer of land to the Border Security Force (BSF) within 45 days to expedite fencing along the India-Bangladesh border. 
• Central Schemes Implementation: He facilitated the rollout of major central schemes in the state, most notably the Ayushman Bharat health scheme and the pending 2026 census exercise. 
• Law and Order: His administration decided to reopen previously closed cases related to post-poll violence from the 2021 and 2023 elections and also R.G Kar Hospital case. In RG Kar case three IPS officer has already suspended. 
• Began preparations for a Janatar Darbar in Salt Lake to allow citizens to directly present grievances to the government.
• Bengal CM commended the Kolkata Municipal Corporation's (KMC) decision to rename Suhrawardy Avenue as Gopal Mukherjee Road, citing it as the correction of a historical wrong. 
• Announced removal of the word "Dham" from the state-funded Jagannath temple complex in Digha Jagannath Temple, renaming it as the Sri Sri Jagannath Cultural Centre.
