The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation intends to revamp its website to improve user -friendly and facilities for easier booking. These initiatives follow the IRCTS portal's efforts to address slow page loading times and booking delays, particularly during peak demand periods such as Tatkal. Additionally, students from the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) in Jaipur reported ongoing glitches and CAPTCHA-related delays directly yo Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

  • PNR and train enquiry capacity increased from 4 lakh to 40 lakh+ enquiries per minute.

Enhanced Security: The system are incorporating compulsory biometric and identity verification measures (including Aadharr-based OTP verification for designated quotas) to deter ticket scalping and misuse.
