EDII Ahmedabad Hosts "Faculty Mentor Development" Programme for Odisha Faculty

A comprehensive six-day Faculty Mentor Development Programme was conducted at the EDII facility in Ahmedabad, bringing together forty members representing higher education institutions and universities throughout Odisha. The programme aims to empower faculty members to promote student entrepreneurship in the state.

The honorable Minister of Higher Education made an annoucement regarding the programme during his recent visit to EDII, and it was subsequently inaugurated in Bhubaneswar on September 5. The department of Higher Education identified and selected 40 faculty members for the initial phase, who were subsequently dispatched to EDII, Gandhinagar to participate in comprehensive training. 

The programme concluded with faculty representatives from each institution presenting personalized strategic action plans that delineated the specific initiatives designated for implementation within their respective academic environments. The overarching goal encompasses preparing educational campuses to facilitate student entrepreneurial development, thereby cultivating young professionals capable of generating employment prospects and advancing the realization of Odisha's development aspirations.  

On the occasion, Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII, said, “This programme will pave the way for promoting entrepreneurship at scale in government institutions. The real beneficiaries will be the students and the entire ecosystem.”

EDII has previously collaborated on similar initiatives with the governments of Uttarakhand, Goa and Gujarat.
