Rajnath Singh Addresses ‘Seva Se Sankalp’ Briefing Focus on Service, Welfare

While keeping Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, in mind, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a press conference to give a briefing on the "Seva Se Sankalp Abhiyan," an initiative launched to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and acknowledge his 25-year tenure in governmental leadership. comprising 13 years as Chief Minister of Gujarat and 12 years as Prime Minister of India.

‘Seva Se Sankalp’ Briefing points:

To mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and his completion of 25 years  the BJP and NDA partners will organise the ‘Seva Se Sankalp’ Abhiyan from September 17 to October 17, with 12 nationwide programmes focused on service, social welfare and public participation.

The Defence Minister highlighted that Prime Minister Modi has consistently demonstrated these qualities. He utter, "big changes require larger vision, good policies, strong execution, political will and courage of conviction."

ansformation, he said, “Over the last 12 years, 25 crore people have been brought out of poverty, while more than 94 crore people have come under the Social Security Net.” 

Talking about the governance Rajnath Singh believes that Prime Minister Modi has transformed the approach to governance from “Prohibited unless Permitted” to “Permitted unless Prohibited”, creating greater space for innovation, entrepreneurship and private-sector participation.


Further, pointed to India’s growing capabilities and reforms on the defence front. He noted that more than “40 Ordnance Factories have been reorganised into seven Defence Public Sector Undertakings”. 

Citing the scale of this transformation, Rajnath Singh said, “Over the last 12 years, 25 crore people have been brought out of poverty, while more than 94 crore people have come under the Social Security Net.” 

Defence Singh also informed that Defence production has increased fourfold to approximately ₹1.80 lakh crore”, while “defence exports have increased 56 times .”

Rajnath Singh added, “Modinomics” lies at the foundation of this success story. He described “Modinomics” through the acronym INDIA: Inclusive, New-age, Digital, Innovative and Atma Nirbhar. He also highlighted five fundamental qualities of successful leadership and said that Prime Minister Modi has consistently demonstrated all five: leading by example, forging collective goals and building consensus, having the courage to bring change, enabling others to move forward, and recognising and encouraging good work.

Concluding, the Defence Minister said that the ‘Seva Se Sankalp Abhiyan’ is not merely about celebrating achievements or statistics, but also about inspiring greater participation in nation-building.
