‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from Sept 17 to Oct 17

The BJP press conference regularly reveal surprising decisions, and recently, one such conference was conducted to announce a significant initiative known as 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan." Shamik Bhattarcharya  held a crucial press conference where he announced that to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure in top  level administration, the Bharatiya Janata Party will conduct a month long "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" nationwide from 17 September to 17 October. 

Important Points from "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" 

  • The programme will be conducted extensively from the booth to the district level.
  • On 7 October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will complete 25 years in the highest levels of administration since assuming office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. 
  • The 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' is being conducted to showcase to the general public the 25-yeat administrative journey and the numerous welfare initiatives implemented for the citizens of the country throughout this time.
  • 17 September, the Prime Minister’s birthday, to 17 October, the programme will be organised at every booth, mandal, block, subdivision and district level across West Bengal. 
  • On 9 and 10 September, press conferences will be held by each district organisation to announce the detailed programme and roadmap for their respective districts.
  • Every booth across the state to light at least 25 lamps, praying for his good health, long life and success. 

‘Namo Seva Gatha’ a documentary and theme song will be released to take the Prime Minister’s 25-year administrative journey to the common people. 

‘My Contribution to Seva’ programme will seek to involve the common people in various social and service-oriented activities.

Initiatives will be undertaken to ensure people’s participation in keeping their localities clean, standing beside marginalised people, restoring rivers and water bodies, conserving water, segregating waste and undertaking various other activities.

Most important components of this programme will be the ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan’

On the special three-day camps, assistance will be provided to eligible people who have been deprived of the benefits of various welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments.

People will be assisted through the filling up of application forms, digital processes and the provision of necessary information.

For children, drawing competitions, recitation competitions and various creative competitions will be organised. 

To encourage the innovative talent of the younger generation, Science Congresses will be organised in five cities, including Kolkata. There are plans to involve young scientists and innovators from different parts of the country in this initiative.

Fine Arts colleges in West Bengal will also be associated with this programme
